This is Barbour’s Asher boot

A DNA deep-dive is always welcome, it’s our way of giving you a hands-on look at footwear that is otherwise unobtainable, you know, a little too far away – don't worry, you won’t have to leave the house today. On this occasion, we’re taking the Barbour Asher boot for a test-run, delving into the 7-eyelet biker-inspired silhouette’s DNA. These are good, really good – we wouldn’t be taking a closer look at them if they weren’t up to scratch! Now, onto the formalities...

Underfoot, the Asher sports a heavy-lugged walking sole, welt-stitched from toe to heel for additional stability without losing flexibility when it really matters. Oh, and it’s quite a looker, too – two-tone greatness.

At both heels, you’ll find an eye-catching loop for easy-on/off wear paired with matching tongue tabs, too.

Up top, all 7-eyelets are inspired by a biker’s choice in footwear, rounded off nicely by a rubber mudguard and notes of premium suede. Suede? On a hiking boot? Oh, just trust us on this one.

All in all, this isn’t just a casual walking boot – it's a statement. Not only am I here to grace the trail, but I’ll look good in the pub post-trek, too. Traditional rope laces aren’t a limiting factor, in fact they’re quite the statement.
