DNA Deep-dive: Helping you style Dr. Martens' 1461

DNA Deep-dive: Helping you style Dr. Martens' 1461
Now to address the age-old question, how should we style Dr. Martens' classic 1461 shoe? But, why hasn't anyone answered this before? It's simple - in a day and age of trainers, pin-rolled jeans and bright socks, we've lost sight of what it means to really dress with style. That's not to say this direction isn't correct - of course it is! But, we think the 1461 requires a little more refinement, shall we say?

Typically available at TOWER in leather and vegan non-leather options, the 1461 is a low cut, hard-wearing shoe introduced exactly one year after the 1460 - using that same Airwair technology key in setting Dr. Martens ahead of its competitors. These require significantly less stitching than their older 1960 brother, notably across the sharp vamp with a distinct removal towards the heel.

Typically, the 1961 offers significantly less support than its former, suited to everyday wear without cutting any of Dr. Martens’ distinctive design corners.

So, as you can see this isn't a silhouette to fumble - if you're shopping with TOWER we ask that you rock them correctly! On this occasion, Anni our in-house stylist threw them down with burnt orange, straight leg pants, a textured cream vest and black hoodie. The finishing touch? Crispy white socks, perfect. In fact, who not take a closer look behind the scenes through our Instagram below? Dr. Martens 1461 shoes are now available online here.
